Viggo Mortensen Relates to His Character from THE ROAD

Viggo Mortensen has always been a worried father. The 51-year-old actor plays a father struggling to protect his son as they try to survive in a post-apocalyptic world in new movie The Road and he admits he could relate to the fear of not being able to protect your offspring.

THE ROAD Movie Review

THE ROAD (4 out of 5 stars)
I just got back from watching The Road which stars Viggo Mortensen and Kodi Smit-McPhee as a father and son trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic world. Well let me tell you, this is a not a movie you want to go see if you’re down, because it will depress the hell out of you. THE ROAD New Movie Clip with Viggo Mortensen & Charlize Theron

Check out a new clip for THE ROAD starring Viggo Mortensen, Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce, Robert Duvall, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Garret Dillahunt, and directed by John Hillcoat.
The Road Synopsis: A father and his son walk alone through burned America. Nothing moves in the ravaged landscape save the ash on the wind. They have nothing: just a pistol to defend themselves against the lawless bands that stalk the road, the clothes they are wearing, a cart of scavenged food–and each other.
