I think this is the first time we see Sam Rockwell up close (apart from the trailer shown at Comic Con). Although there isn't much going on this the picture, it's still fun to check out.

GENTLEMEN BRONCOS Movie Trailer & Poster

Check out the trailer and poster for GENTLEMEN BRONCOS starring Michael Angarano, Jennifer Coolidge, Jemaine Clement, Mike White, Sam Rockwell, and directed by Jared Hess.
Jared Hess is the man behind Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre, both of which I haven't seen (although I did start watching Napoleon Dynamite, but never finished). But Gentlemen Broncos looks pretty funny and I think that it might get me to go to the movies. I especially enjoy Michael Angarano, and of course Sam Rockwell (how hilarious is he in the trailer?!).

Gentlemen Broncos Synopsis: Benjamin (Michael Angarano), home-schooled by his eccentric mother (Jennifer Coolidge), is a loveable loner whose passion for writing leads him on an offbeat and hilarious journey as his story first gets ripped off by the legendary fantasy novelist, Ronald Chevalier (Jemaine Clement) and then is adapted into a disastrous movie by the small town's most prolific homespun filmmaker.

Lionsgate acquired the North American and U.K. distribution rights to The Winning Season, which was at Sundance earlier this year.
I have been a fan of Sam Rockwell for a few years now. He is such an amazing actor, that just knowing he is in a movie makes me want to check it out. Plus the synopsis for The Winning Season sounds like it could be a fun one to watch. However so far, there is no release date for The Winning Season.
The Winning Season Synopsis: From director James C. Strouse (GRACE IS GONE) comes THE WINNING SEASON, starring Sam Rockwell as an adult misfit who is brought on to coach the local girl's high school basketball team. The film co-stars Emma Roberts (HOTEL FOR DOGS) as Abby, and also stars Rob Corddry (W.), Shareeka Epps (HALF NELSON) and Emily Rios (QUINCEANERA).
MOON Movie Review

I was fortunate enough to be able to attend a screening for the movie MOON starring Sam Rockwell and directed by Duncan Jones.
Moon follows Sam Bell, an astronaut living on the far side of the moon, who is completing a three-year contract with Lunar Industries. His job is to gather Earth's new primary source of energy, Helium-3, and send it back to Earth.
When the movie opens, Sam only has a few weeks left until he is ready to go home to his wife, Tess, and daughter, Eve. However, during one of his drive on the moon to go get the Helium-3, Sam gets into a serious accident. When he wakes up, Sam is confronted to what seems to be another younger version of himself, who claims to be there to fulfill the same three-year contract. From there Sam begins a quest to finding out what the truth is about who the "other" Sam is and how he himself fits into all of Lunar Industries' plans.
Moon is one of those movies that you end up thinking about for days after seeing it. It has so many dimensions as far as the story goes, starting with morality issues to an outlook of a potential future. I found it very fascinating. I think the beauty is that the director does not overwhelm you with the story and what you should take from it, he simply tells you what happens and lets you decide what you think about it.
It is also very rare to find a story that is so perfectly well-rounded from beginning to end. It really feels like a lot of thought and passion went into it to get it just right. Nothing feels rushed and every single moment is played out perfectly.

Wow, I mean wow, that's a pretty intense trailer. I honestly wasn't that interested in the movie, but after watching the trailer, I can't wait to see it. Sam Rockwell looks better than ever and I think we can expect a really great performance from him.
