The "Funny People" actor will don drag for one of his parts in romantic comedy "Jack And Jill', in which he will reportedly take on both title roles. Adam's own Happy Madison production company are making the movie, which will be scripted by 'Click' writer Steve Koren.

Few details of the plot of the film have been released and it is unclear whether it will be based on the traditional nursery rhyme of the same name. Filming is expected to begin next year, with a planned release date of 2011.

Adam Sandler is not the only Hollywood star to announce he will don drag for a major role. It was recently revealed that `X Men Origins: Wolverine' actor Ryan Reynolds will cross-dress in an as-yet untitled movie which will see his character disguise himself in drag in order to befriend his ex-girlfriend in a bid to win her back.

BURIED Movie Pictures with Ryan Reynolds

Ryan Reynolds in Buried

Check out a couple of pictures for BURIED starring Ryan Reynolds and directed by Rodrigo Cortés.

Buried's story revolves around probably one of the worst ways to die: being buried alive. I know it's at the top of my list. Ryan Reynolds plays a man, Paul Conroy, who wakes up to find he is buried alive in a coffin, with only a cell phone and a lighter. The movie is pretty much a one man show revolving around Paul trying to get out alive. Thanks to Twitch, we get our first look at Ryan Reynolds in the coffin (as you can see above), as well as him and director Rodrigo Cortés below.

It sounds like a really interesting and original movie, but I don't know if I'm going to be able to stomach the whole thing. It sounds really disturbing. I think I might need to see a trailer before making up my mind, but it's definitely a movie I'll keep track of.

Ryan Reynolds and Rodrigo Cortes - Buried

Buried Synopsis: Paul is a U.S. contractor working in Iraq. After an attack by a group of Iraqis he wakes to find he buried alive inside a coffin. With only a lighter and a cell phone it's a race against time to escape this claustrophobic death trap.

Ryan Reynolds Cast as the GREEN LANTERN

Ryan Reynolds - Green Lantern

It's official, Ryan Reynolds has been cast as the GREEN LANTERN.

Now I don't know much about the comic book so I can talk about that much, and I really love Ryan Reynolds so nothing against him, but I have to ask: could they really not find anybody else to play another superhero on screen? Ryan Reynolds was already in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and will also star in the new Deadpool movie (although still in development, but slated for 2011) as the main character obviously. So does it really make sense to associate him with yet another comic book character?

Is there really no other actor out there that could play the part? And I'm not talking about all the familiar faces out there, I want some new blood. Someone that you can associate with the character without thinking "oh yeah, that's so and so from this and that movie."

Now of course I will go see the movie, because let's face it, it's Ryan Reynolds (whom as I mentioned above I love) and it's going to be a blockbuster superhero movie. But still, I think that sometimes thinking out of the box can yield some even better results than expected.

What do you guys think of Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern?

PAPER MAN Movie Review (LA Film Fest)

Jeff Daniels, Ryan Reynolds - Paper Man
PAPER MAN (5 out of 5 stars)

Paper Man was the opening movie at the 2009 Los Angeles Film Festival, and all I can say is that it was a great choice.

Paper Man tells the story of Richard Dunn (Jeff Daniels) a failed author whose wife, Claire (Lisa Kudrow), a successful surgeon, rents a house in New Jersey in order to help him get over his writer's block. Along for the ride is Richard's imaginary friend, Captain Excellent (Ryan Reynolds), who has been with him since 2nd grade.
Unfortunately, Richard can't seem to get anything written and the fact that his first novel was a bust doesn't help either. During one of his outings to town, he meets Abby (Emma Stone) a Long Island teen who feels as lonely as he does. A friendship between the two begins a la "Lost in Translation" which helps both of them deal with their lives and unresolved issues.

Paper Man very much has a typical independent feel to it, which I love. And while the basic storyline is not that original, the elements surrounding it definitely bring it to a new, original level. I thought the whole Captain Excellent element was brilliant and putting Ryan Reynolds in the role in a Superman-like costume and platinum hair just makes it that much more brilliant. Oh and did I mention Captain Excellent also has some sort of slogan, it's pretty fun.

Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Daniels - Paper Man

Update: Unfortunately, we were asked to bring the clips down. The good news is the reason for it is because the movie is in the process of being sold and, without boring you too much, copyright will eventually change owners. Hopefully we'll have a trailer soon though.

Check out four video clips from PAPER MAN starring Jess Daniels, Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds, Lisa Kudrow, Hunter Parrish, Kieran Culkin, and directed by Kieran Mulroney and Michele Mulroney.

Paper Man was the opening movie at the 2009 Los Angeles Film Festival and it's a really awesome movie. I am working on my review and should have it up soon so keep an eye out for that.

In the meantime check out the four clips from Paper Man below. In the first clip you'll get to see Ryan Reynolds as Captain Excellent, which is probably the best part of the movie. In the third one you can see Lisa Kudrow who plays Jeff Daniels' wife, and in the fourth clip you get to see Emma Stone, who is really wonderful in the movie. Unfortunately, Paper Man doesn't have a release date yet, but whenever it does, you guys have to check it out.

Wolverine (Hugh Jackman)- X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Since we're on the subject of X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE, how about checking out some new character pictures that were released by USA Today.

With the latest released trailer, I am getting more and more excited to see this movie. I hope I am not setting my hopes too high, but with a cast that includes not only Hugh Jackman, but Liev Schreiber, Taylor Kitsch, Ryan Reynolds, and Will.i.am how could it not be good?
