Emily Blunt and Rupert Friend in The Young Victoria

Check out the new trailer from THE YOUNG VICTORIA starring Emily Blunt, Rupert Friend, Paul Bettany, Miranda Richardson, Jim Broadbent, Mark Strong, Thomas Kretschmann, Harriet Walter, and directed by Jean-Marc Vallée.

The Young Victoria Synopsis: The Young Victoria is set in the period from 1836, the year before Victoria ascended the throne, to 1840, the year she married Prince Albert, and revises the widely held picture of Queen Victoria as an elderly widow dressed in black. In addition to being a love story and family drama, the film explores the idea of instant celebrity – one minute Victoria is living under virtual house arrest, the next she is the most famous woman in the world.

The Young Victoria will be released to theaters on December 18, 2009 (limited). Watch the trailer below. You should also check more photos here.

Check out the trailer and some pictures from THE YOUNG VICTORIA starring Emily Blunt, Rupert Friend, Paul Bettany, Miranda Richardson, Jim Broadbent, Mark Strong, Thomas Kretschmann, Harriet Walter, and directed by Jean-Marc Vallée.

The Young Victoria is part of the Gala Presentations lineup at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival.

This sounds like the Victoria version of the movie Elizabeth. But I do like Emily Blunt and a lot of the cast as well, plus the trailer looks good. I might give it a shot.

In the meantime, if you're at the Toronto Film Festival, you'll have a chance to check it out there in September.

Clemence Poesy, Rupert Friend

Clémence Poésy and Rupert Friend have been cast in LULLABY FOR PI, a romantic drama which will mark Benoit Philippon's directorial debut.

In Lullaby for Pi, a jazz singer (Rupert Friend) who has just lost his wife, meets a mysterious woman (Clemence Poesy).

I really like Clemence Poesy. First saw her in Harry Potter and Goblet of Fire, but I think it was in In Bruges that we really saw more of her talent. I am looking forward to seeing more of her on the big screen.
