After the trailer, comes the poster. And quite a poster it is, very simple but very effective. As I mentioned, I love the story of Robin Hood and it's going to be really fun to find out what a Robin Hood meets Gladiator movie is like. I'm really crossing my fingers it doesn't disappoint.

ROBIN HOOD (2010) International Movie Trailer with Russell Crowe

Check out the international trailer for ROBIN HOOD which stars Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett, Mark Strong, Scott Grimes, Kevin Durand, Vanessa Redgrave, Alan Doyle and is directed by Ridley Scott.
I like this international trailer even better than the first trailer. We get a better sense of the story and we see a little more of the other characters. It's really feels like Gladiator meets Robin Hood, and that's definitely something I want to see.

We posted some photos yesterday, and the trailer does not disappoint. As a fan of the Robin Hood story and having watched too many versions for my own good, I am absolutely looking forward to seeing how Ridley Scott is going to reinvent the legend.

Check out the first picture of Russell Crowe in Ridley Scott's ROBIN HOOD movie, thanks to USA Today.
This is definitely a movie I want to see, I'm a fan of Robin Hood movies and a retelling of the story starring not only Russell Crowe, but Cate Blanchett, Mark Strong, Scott Grimes, Kevin Durand, Vanessa Redgrave, and Alan Doyle is something I have to see.
And I have to say, I am liking Russell Crowe's look as the new Robin Hood. The bad news is Robin Hood has a May 14, 2010 release date.

Vanessa Redgrave Cast in Ridley Scott's ROBIN HOOD

Vanessa Redgrave was cast in Ridley Scott's untitiled ROBIN HOOD film as Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine, the mother of King john.
Robin Hood also stars Russell Crowe as Robin Hood, Cate Blanchett, as Lady Marion, Mark Strong as King John's henchman Sir Godfrey, Scott Grimes as Will Scarlet, Kevin Durand as Little John, and Alan Doyle as Allan a Dayle.
The movie will follow Robin Hood from the days he spent in King Richard's army to his becoming an outlaw and creating his band of Merry Men.

Scott Grimes, Kevin Durand & Alan Doyle in Ridley Scott's ROBIN HOOD

Scott Grimes, Kevin Durand and Alan Doyle have been cast in Ridley Scott's untitled ROBIN HOOD film as part of Robin Hood's band of Merry Men.
With Russell Crowe in the title role, and after a confirmation that Cate Blanchett would portray Maid Marian, it was time to cast the rest of Robin Hood's clan.
And so Scott Grimes ("ER") will play Will Scarlet, a swordsman and also Robin Hood's nephew (in the movie Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Will Scarlett was portrayed by Christian Slater). I really love Scott Grimes (ever since Party of Five actually), and I think this casting fits him really well.
Kevin Durand ("Lost") will play Little John, Robin Hood's right-hand man. Since there is nothing little about Little John, I think Kevin Durand is going to give us our money's worth.
And finally, Alan Doyle will play Alan a Dayle (who was called Alan-a-Dale in the original story). [...]
