This trailer definitely shows more than the first teaser that was released (thanks to Filmonic for finding it). In addition to Logan Lerman, this time we also get a peek at Pierce Brosnan as Chiron, Rosario Dawson as Persephone, Brandon T. Jackson as Grover, Alexandra Daddario as Annabeth, and Sean Bean as Zeus (although this last one is just a glimpse).
I think I like the trailer, and it looks like the movie definitely has some potential. Although it's worth seeing if only to check out the amazing cast.

This is way too short for me to decide whether or not it looks good, but what I do know is that it has a good cast and director. So it's definitely a movie I want to keep in mind until I see more from it.

I really didn't expect to see anything from the movie this soon, but this is really exciting. The director behind the first two Harry Potter movies is taking on the next big series of books, Percy Jackson and the Olympians. So far I have read the first three books and really like them.
That teaser looks way better than what I expected. Logan Lerman so far looks like a really great Percy, but I already thought he did when his casting was announced. We don't see Alexandra Daddario, who plays Annabeth, in the teaser, so we still don't know how they are going to pass off a 23 year old for a 12 year old. I just hope they don't change the story too much otherwise this could turn out to be the new "Eragon" (which did really bad at the box office, because unfortunately the movie was nowhere as good as the book), instead of the new "Harry Potter."

Pierce Brosnan, Uma Thurman, Sean Bean, Kevin McKidd & Melina Kanakaredes Join PERCY JACKSON AND THE LIGHTENING THIEF

Pierce Brosnan, Uma Thurman, Sean Bean, Kevin McKidd & Melina Kanakaredes have all been cast in PERCY JACKSON AND THE LIGHTENING THIEF, the movie adapted from the Percy Jackson novels.
Some of them will make up the Greek gods, Uma Thurman as Medusa, Sean Bean as Zeus, Kevin McKidd as Poseidon, and Melina Kanakaredes as Athena. As for Pierce Brosnan, he has been cast as Chiron Percy's mentor.
[SPOILER] Chiron is also a centaur.[END SPOILER]
After the casting announcement for Percy & Grover and Annabeth, you probably know by now that I am a big fan of the books and excited for the movie. And I gotta say this is a casting announcement that I can get behind.
