Movies Coming Out This Weekend March 27 2009
Wondering what movies are coming out to theaters this Friday, March 27? Here is a list with our recommendations (which you can take or leave, it's up to you).

DEFINITELY WATCH AT THE MOVIES
Monsters vs Aliens
It seemed that Monsters vs Aliens' March release was so far away, I cannot believe it's already here. And of course that means that I am hyped up to go and watch it.

The Mysteries of Pittsburgh (Limited)
I recently posted the trailer for this and was really psyched to go and watch it. Although I probably will have to wait a week for it to be released in LA on April 4th. This week it will be released in New York.

Little Ashes (Limited)
Robert Pattinson before Twilight, come on I gotta see this! But more seriously, I posted the trailer a while back and was really intrigued by the movie, it looks like some great acting there.

DEFINITELY RENT
Goodbye Solo (Limited)
I just found out about this movie, and from the looks of the trailer I think I might enjoy it, although I am waiting to hear a little more about it. (Goodbye Solo opens in New York and Chicago this week.)

The Education of Charlie Banks (Limited)
I am curious about checking out The Education of Charlie Banks, but I think my plate is pretty full this week, so it might have to be a rental.

HELL WILL FREEZE FIRST
The Haunting in Connecticut
Oh look another horror film that I won't be seeing.

12 Rounds
Well, the casting pretty much killed it for me. But I'm sure some people will totally love it.

MONSTERS VS ALIENS Movie Trailer #2 (2009)

Dreamworks has released a new trailer for its upcoming new animation movie, MONSTERS VS ALIENS, and I have to say it only reinforced my initial reaction to the movie, it looks freaking awesome!
Even though I usually love animation movies, lately it seems that a lot of them have been just average. But Monsters vs Aliens looks like it could be another winner for Dreamworks. And of course, that means the movie made our Must See Movies of 2009 list.
The voices of Monsters vs Aliens include Reese Witherspoon (Susan Murphy), Rainn Wilson (Gallaxhar), Hugh Laurie (Dr. Cockroach), Seth Rogen (B.O.B.), Will Arnett (Missing Link), Kiefer Sutherland (Gen. W.R. Monger), and Stephen Colbert (the president).
Monsters vs Aliens will be released to theaters on March 29, 2009.
Watch the trailer for Monsters vs Aliens and decide for yourself. Do you expect great things from it?

MONSTERS VS ALIENS Movie Trailer (2009)
The trailer for Dreamworks new animation movie, MONSTERS VS ALIENS, has just been leaked on the internet. You can watch the video below. It's not great quality, but you can still tell that this film looks awesome.
Dreamworks Animation strikes again with another seemingly great and fun animation movie. And wait.... ok now I'm excited about it.
Seriously, that screaming lady is hilarious. And not only does the story sound original and fun, but some of the talents who lend their voices include, Reese Witherspoon (Susan Murphy), Rainn Wilson (Gallaxhar), Hugh Laurie (Dr. Cockroach), Seth Rogen (B.O.B.), Will Arnett (Missing Link), Kiefer Sutherland (Gen. W.R. Monger), and Stephen Colbert (the president).
First Look: MONSTERS VS. ALIENS - A 3-D Animation from Dreamworks

Take a look at a picture from Dreamwork's new animation movie, MONSTERS VS. ALIENS, a sci-fi spoof on B-movie monster films.
Monsters vs. Aliens is also the first computer-animated feature to be shot in 3-D...now I'm interested!
There is so much potential for animation to be experienced in 3-D that I cannot wait to see what the final product looks like.
As for who will be the voices of the characters, you can expect some big names: Reese Witherspoon is Susan Murphy (the main character), Rainn Wilson is the evil alien Gallaxhar, Hugh Laurie is Dr. Cockroach, Ph.D., Seth Rogen is the jellylike B.O.B., and the half-ape, Will Arnett is the half-fish Missing Link. Kiefer Sutherland is Gen. W.R. Monger, and Stephen Colbert is the president.
And to finish, here is a little more information about the story:
Susan Murphy, a modern-day California girl who has the bad luck to be hit by a meteor on her wedding day and grows to be 49 feet, 11½ inches tall (a wink at 1958's The Attack of the 50-Foot Woman). Captured by the military, she's renamed Ginormica.
Monsters vs. Aliens will be released on March 27 2009 (so that's more than a year from now).
What do you say? Monsters vs. Aliens in 3-D, are you in or are you out?
