Mickey Rourke as Whiplash in IRON MAN 2 First Picture
Check out the first picture of Mickey Rourke as Whiplash in IRON MAN 2 that was released today by USA Today.
Mickey Rourke will portray the new villain facing Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.). In the picture you can see that he seems to be wearing the same power device that Iron Man wears. Jon Favreau explained:
The villain's alter ego, Ivan Vanko, is a Russian who "has constructed his own version of a suit," Favreau says.
This picture of Mickey Rourke shows Whiplash at the Monaco Historic Grand Prix. However details of the story a being kept under wraps.
Iron Man 2 will hit theaters on May 7, 2010.

Even though The Informers has a pretty impressive cast, so far I haven't heard great things about it. I think I'll still check it out anyway.

Mickey Rourke to Star in PASSION PLAYS
Mickey Rourke has attached himself to the new movie PASSION PLAYS.
Passion Plays will be directed by Mitch Glazer, who also wrote the script.
So far no word on what the story is.
After the news that Mickey Rourke was cast in Iron Man 2, it seems that the offers just keep coming in for him.

Mickey Rourke Cast in IRON MAN 2
Mickey Rourke has been cast in IRON MAN 2.
According to Nikki Finke, Mickey Rourke's agent David Unger has secured a better deal for him than previously offered by Marvel, and so Mickey Rourke has finally signed on to Iron Man 2. He will be playing a Russian villain.
I know everybody has been talking about Mickey Rourke lately, but I really think that he's a great choice for a villain.
Funny story, I was talking to my dad before the Oscars and mentioning that Mickey Rourke had been nominated a lot and won quite a few awards for his latest film. He then said "Oh yeah, I've always liked Mickey Rourke, he's a great actor. It's too bad he's not in more movies." I couldn't agree more.
