Check out a new trailer for WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE starring Catherine Keener, Max Records, Mark Ruffalo, and directed by Spike Jonze.
This one features some new scenes that we hadn't seen in the first trailer. Ever since seeing a few clips at Comic Con, I have been really looking forward to the movie, and this trailer reminded me why. It looks great.

Where the Wild Things Are Synopsis: Maurice Sendak's classic book comes to the big screen in an adventure tale for every generation. Where the Wild Things Are follows the adventure of Max (Max Records), a mischievous young boy who is sent to his room after rebelling against his mother (Catherine Keener). Max's imagination is free to roam, and it soon transports him to a thriving forest bordering a vast sea. Delighted, he sets sail for the land of the Wild Things, where mischief reigns and Max rules. In bringing this imaginative fantasy to life, Jonze leads a team of filmmakers incorporating the most dynamic elements of voice performance, live-action puppetry and computer animation.

After posting the poster a few days ago, it's really exciting to get a look at some images from the movie. In most of them we see the main character Max (played by Max Records) along with the creature, Carol (voiced by James Gandolfini). We also get a first look at Catherine Keener as Max's mom.
Where the Wild Things Are is based on Maurice Sendak's classic children's story about a young boy named Max who, after being sent to bed without supper, imagines a mysterious, wild forest in his bedroom. There he encounters mythical creatures, the wild things.
Where the Wild Things Are comes out to theaters on October 16, 2009. I don't know about you, but I'm excited.
