Woody Harrelson in Defendor

Check out the trailer for DEFENDOR starring Woody Harrelson, Elias Koteas, Kat Dennings, Sandra Oh, Michael Kelly, and directed by Peter Stebbings.

I put up some pictures from Defendor recently and was hoping for a trailer to make my final decision. Well, now that I have seen it, I am kind of excited for this movie. It looks really great and really funny. But I don't want to say too much, you just have to watch the trailer and a clip below (thanks to Twitch).

Defendor Synopsis: Reality intersects with delusion in the mind of Arthur Poppington (Woody Harrelson), a regular man who adopts a superhero persona known as Defendor, and combs the city streets at night in search of his arch-enemy, Captain Industry. In his attempts to combat crime and bring down Captain Industry, a drug and weapons dealer who he mistakenly blames for the death of his mother, Defendor ends up befriending a young prostitute, Katerina Debrofkowitz (Kat Dennings). Armed with unconventional weapons of mass confusion, aided by his new friend, and putting his life on the line, Defendor proves that everyone is capable of making a difference.

Woody Harrelson in Defendor

Check out some pictures from DEFENDOR starring Woody Harrelson, Elias Koteas, Kat Dennings, Sandra Oh, Michael Kelly, and directed by Peter Stebbings.

Defendor will be screened at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival as part of their Special Presentation.

The premise sounds like Kick-Ass a little bit with a twist. Although I don't think the two films will be at all similar (at least it doesn't look that way).

I really love Woody Harrelson's outfit, it's pretty awesome. But I think in order to get a better idea of the movie, we'll need a trailer, which I hope will be released soon. Until then, check out more pictures from Defendor below.

Not that I have seen it, I am happy to say it didn't disappoint. Jeff Daniels gives us what looks to be another good performance, and I'm looking forward to seeing him in The Answer Man.

The Answer Man Synopsis: A reclusive author of a groundbreaking spiritual book awakens to new truths when two strangers enter his life.

Check out the trailer for SHORTS starring Jon Cryer, William H. Macy, Leslie Mann, James Spader, Kat Dennings, and directed by Robert Rodriguez.

After watching this trailer I feel like a kid again, and dare I say I thought it looked like such a fun movie. It's amazing how easily Robert Rodriguez can go from horror to magical.

Shorts will be released to theaters on August 7, 2009. Watch the trailer below.

Shorts Synopsis: In the suburb of Black Falls, all the houses look the same and everyone works for BLACK BOX Unlimited Worldwide Industries Incorporated, whose Mr. Black's BLACK BOX is the ultimate communication and do-it-all gadget that's sweeping the nation. Other than keeping his parents employed, however, Mr. Black's BLACK BOX has done nothing for 11-year-old Toe Thompson, who just wants to make a few friends... until a mysterious rainbow-colored rock falls from the sky, hits him in the head and changes everything. The Rainbow Rock does Mr. Black's BLACK BOX one better: it grants wishes to anyone who holds it. Before long, wishes-gone-wrong have left the neighborhood swarming with tiny spaceships, crocodile armies, giant boogers... and outrageous magical mayhem around every corner. But it's not until the grown-ups get their hands on the Rock that the trouble really starts. Now Toe and his newfound friends must join forces to save their town from itself, discovering along the way that what you wish for is not always what you want.
