The Private Lives of Pippa Lee Synopsis: From all outward appearances, Pippa Lee (ROBIN WRIGHT PENN) leads a charmed existence. She is the devoted wife of an accomplished publisher (ALAN ARKIN) thirty years her senior, the proud mother of two grown children, and a trusted friend and confidant to all who cross her path. But as Pippa dutifully follows her husband to a new life in a staid Connecticut retirement community, her idyllic world and the persona she has built over the course of her marriage will be put to the ultimate test.
In truth, looks are deceiving, and this picture-perfect woman has seen more than her fair share of turmoil in her youth. We meet George Falconer (Colin Firth), a gay college professor, as he learns that his lover Jim (Matthew Goode) has died in a car wreck. Grief overwhelms him, and his "invisible status" in society begins to close in again. Suicide seems the best way out. But a mad night with Charley (Julianne Moore), his best girlfriend from England, and the unexpected attentions of an angora-sweater-clad young man make George think twice.

The pictures were released by the NY Times recently and even though you can't really tell from the pictures, Chloe has quite an interesting and kind of twisted story (you can read the synopsis below), which makes me want to check it out even more.
Chloe is part of the Gala Presentations lineup at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival.
Chloe Synopsis: Catherine (Moore) and David (Neeson), she a doctor, he a professor, are at first glance the perfect couple. Happily married with a talented teenaged son, they appear to have an idyllic life. But when David misses a flight and his surprise birthday party, Catherine's long-simmering suspicions rise to the surface. Suspecting infidelity, she decides to hire an escort (Seyfried) to seduce her husband and test his loyalty. Catherine finds herself “directing” Chloe's encounters with David, and Chloe's end of the bargain is to report back, the descriptions becoming increasingly graphic as the meetings multiply.

I can't say that I am crazy about the poster, but the only redeeming factor is the actors starring in the film. That's the only reason that I'm willing to give The Private Lives of Pippa Lee a shot. The movie comes out to theaters in October 2009.
