Bryce Dallas Howard, Rachelle Lefevre - Eclipse

Summit Entertainment announced that they would be replacing Rachelle Lefevre, who plays Victoria, in the third movie of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, by none other than Bryce Dallas Howard (Terminator Salvation, Spider-Man 3, The Village).

This is apparently due to a 10 days scheduling conflict, although Rachelle Lefevre and Summit have both released statement that seem a little contradictory. It honestly looks like Summit wanted to change the actress portraying Victoria, for whatever reason.

I personally am kind of excited about this news because Bryce Dallas Howard is one of my favorite actresses, so I'm behind whatever she does (although I have nothing against Rachelle Lefevre). I am now even more excited for the third movie, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which comes out on June 30, 2010, and I honestly think that Bryce Dallas Howard will surprise more than a few by her performance.

So congratulations to Bryce Dallas Howard, and good luck to Rachelle Lefevre on whatever projects she does next.

How do you guys feel about this casting change? Are you guys excited to see Bryce Dallas Howard take on the role? Or are you going to miss Rachelle Lefevre?

I know we still have a long while to wait until The Twilight Sage: ECLIPSE comes out, but I thought I would share this pretty cool fan made poster (which I found on NewMoonMovie.org).

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is scheduled to be released on June 30, 2010.

David Slade

David Slade has been chosen by Summit Entertainment to direct the third movie in The Twilight Saga: ECLIPSE.

A while ago we reported that Juan Antonio Bayona would be directing Eclipse. This obviously is not the case anymore.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is scheduled to be released on June 30, 2010.

David Slade has directed such films as Hard Candy and 30 Days of Night. I'm curious to see how he will bring Eclipse to the screen.

With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life.

Juan Antonio Bayona, Eclipse

It seems that the third movie in the Twilight Saga, ECLIPSE, has found its director. The winner is: Juan Antonio Bayona, who directed the horror Spanish-language film, The Orphanage.

Twilight's Eclipse will be released on June 30, 2010 (a mere seven months after New Moon's release on November 20, 2009).

I haven't seen The Orphanage, so can't say much about Juan Antonio Bayona. For those who have, what do you think of him as a director for Eclipse?
