THE CABIN IN THE WOODS Movie Posters
Check out three posters from the new horror film THE CABIN IN THE WOODS, which is produced by Joss Whedon, directed by Drew Goddard, and starring Richard Jenkins, Bradley Whitford, Kristen Connolly, Chris Hemsworth, Anna Hutchison, Fran Kranz, and Jesse Williams.
I really like how the advices on the posters are every horror cliches you should absolutely NOT do.
For example: "If something is chasing you... Split up."
It's really smart advertising, which actually has got me interested in the movie even though I'm not a horror fan. So far, we don't know anything about the story, but I am expecting something good, especially with Joss Whedon involved.
The Cabin in the Woods will be released to theaters on February 5, 2010. Check out a couple more posters below.

Sandie said that she was excited to see this movie. I am not sure if I share her excitement but I do like Milla Jovovich so who knows, I might watch this one.

Hiking the wild, secluded trails, they believe they've found paradise. Back in March I posted two pictures from the movie and now we can take a look at the pretty intense trailer.
I kind of want to see this for 2 reasons:
1) I now want to find out who the killer is
2) The cast is pretty good
Also it looks like the story could potentially be good (fingers crossed). Also a fun fact is that Chris Hemsworth (who was recently cast as Thor) is in the movie.

Chris Hemsworth Cast as THOR
After months of speculation about who would be cast as THOR in the live action movie from Marvel studios, it was announced that Aussie newcomer Chris Hemsworth is the lucky guy.
Some of you might know Chris Hemsworth from his recent stint on Star Trek as George Kirk (James T. Kirk's father). But get ready to see plenty more of him since he has quite a few projects coming up including Joss Whedon's new horror film, The Cabin in the Woods.
Thor will be directed by Kenneth Branagh with a release date of May, 20, 2011.
As for the story of Thor, well since I am not familiar with the comic book, I'll just tell you what I have been able to put together. Thor is a God who has been put into the body of a medical student, Donald Blake, by his father in order to teach him some humility. At some point Thor discovers who he really is and learns how to change back and forth between his human alter ego and the God form.
I'm actually looking forward to the movie mostly because of Kenneth Branagh directing. And now I'm curious to see how Chris Hemsworth holds his own.
Joss Whedon & Drew Goddard Some of Their Cast for THE CABIN IN THE WOODS
Kristen Connolly, Chris Hemsworth, Anna Hutchison, Fran Kranz, and Jesse Williams have been cast in Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard's horror film, THE CABIN IN THE WOODS.
These five will add their talent to Richard Jenkins and Bradley Whitford's, who already attached to the project.
Joss Whedon, who is producing, wrote the screenplay and Drew Goddard will direct.
So far the details of the story have been kept under wraps, but hey it's Joss Whedon, so I'm excited.
As for the release date, it seems that it's going to be on February 5, 2010.
