THE VICIOUS KIND Movie Trailer with Adam Scott & Brittany Snow

Check out the really great trailer for THE VICIOUS KIND starring Brittany Snow, Adam Scott, J.K. Simmons, Alex Frost, and directed by Lee Toland Krieger.
The Vicious Kind Synopsis: Writer and Director Lee Toland Krieger presents a redemption tale focused on Caleb Sinclaire (Adam Scott), a bitter construction worker whose life is turned upside down one Thanksgiving weekend. Estranged from his family, Caleb lives an isolated, but contented life. Following a difficult breakup, he becomes scornful toward women and wears his disdain as a badge of honor. Caleb's resolve is tested, however, when he meets his younger brother Peter's new girlfriend, Emma (Brittany Snow). Immediately distrustful of her, Caleb warns Peter (Alex Frost) that she will only end up hurting him. Despite his best efforts to protect his brother, he finds himself drawn to Emma and surprised by his growing attraction. Caleb's unexpected feelings force him to finally confront the vulnerability he has struggled for so long to conceal.

PASSENGER SIDE Movie Review (LA Film Fest)
July 10, 2009 by Sandie

Passenger Side was the movie I enjoyed the least at the Los Angeles Film Festival, which was too bad because I really like Adam Scott (who plays one of the main characters).
Passenger Side follows the story of two brothers Michael and Tobey Brown (Adam Scott and Joel Bissonnette), who drive around Los Angeles running errands for Tobey, although we don't really find out what for until later in the movie. Nothing much else happens apart from a few weird encounters.
Passenger Side is more of a day in the life of type of movie, where there isn't really a beginning or an end, it's just a day we follow in the lives of the two brothers, but even at the end of the movie, their story doesn't really end there. This is fine when there is a purpose to showing that part of their life, but it just felt like the reason for the errands, when revealed, wasn't good enough for me to believe Michael would be driving Tobey around all day. And on top of that, the movie has some weird, seemingly purposeless, encounters with random people. It seemed to me like a lot of them were done just for shock value but didn't really add anything to the story or the point they were trying to make. It actually felt very disjointed and took me out of the movie a few times.

Ooooh... Thanksgiving family drama, what more could I ask for? Oh I know, a great cast. The Vicious Kind is looking good so far. And of course J.K. Simmons is always a pleasure to watch.
The Vicious Kind Synopsis: Suffering insomnia and testy by nature, Caleb Sinclaire reluctantly picks up his brother Peter at college and brings him and his new girlfriend Emma home to his estranged father's house for Thanksgiving.
