The "Funny People" actor will don drag for one of his parts in romantic comedy "Jack And Jill', in which he will reportedly take on both title roles. Adam's own Happy Madison production company are making the movie, which will be scripted by 'Click' writer Steve Koren.

Few details of the plot of the film have been released and it is unclear whether it will be based on the traditional nursery rhyme of the same name. Filming is expected to begin next year, with a planned release date of 2011.

Adam Sandler is not the only Hollywood star to announce he will don drag for a major role. It was recently revealed that `X Men Origins: Wolverine' actor Ryan Reynolds will cross-dress in an as-yet untitled movie which will see his character disguise himself in drag in order to befriend his ex-girlfriend in a bid to win her back.
