I got a chance to see Zombieland a few days before it hit theaters today, October 2, and let me start by saying that I absolutely loved it.
Now I am not a fan of horror movies, and zombie movies are not my thing either, but Zombieland is not really what I would call a horror film. The zombie part has more of a Shaun of the Dead flavor to it, which I actually enjoy. Within the first ten minutes I was pretty much sold on the film and could tell I was going to have a great time. So I thought I would break the movie down and tell you about what which parts I enjoyed the most. But before that let's start with:
What is Zombieland all about?
Zombieland takes place in a world that is overrun by zombies, except that these zombies are not undead, but infected people that now like to eat flesh.. how nice. We meet Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) a kind of a wuss character, who has been able to survive so far by sticking with his set of rules. He meets Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) a pretty badass zombie-killer, with whom he ends up traveling. Along the way, they also meet sisters Witchita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin), who are trying to get to Pacific Playland.
Now that you know what the movie is all about, let's find out what makes it good.
ZOMBIELAND Movie Photos

Check out some new photos for ZOMBIELAND starring Jesse Eisenberg, Abigail Breslin, Bill Murray, Emma Stone, Amber Heard, Woody Harrelson, and directed by Ruben Fleischer.
Zombieland Synopsis: Columbia Pictures' horror comedy Zombieland focuses on two men who have found a way to survive a world overrun by zombies. Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) is a big wuss - but when you're afraid of being eaten by zombies, fear can keep you alive. Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) is an AK-totin', zombie-slayin' badass whose single determination is to get the last Twinkie on earth. As they join forces with Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin), who have also found unique ways to survive the zombie mayhem, they will have to determine which is worse: relying on each other or succumbing to the zombies.
Zombieland will be released to theaters on October 9, 2009. Check out the Zombieland photos below.

I'm usually not a fan of zombie movies, or horror movies for that matter, but you just add a comedic spin to it and I'm in. I just loved that trailer, it reminded me of "Shaun of the Dead," which I thought was pretty hilarious. So Zombieland it is!

MY SISTER'S KEEPER Movie Trailer

Check out the trailer for MY SISTER'S KEEPER starring Cameron Diaz, Alec Baldwin, Abigail Breslin, Thomas Dekker, Joan Cusack, Jason Patric, Sofia Vassilieva, and directed by Nick Cassavetes.
When a trailer brings tears to your eyes, you know it's good. And that's exactly what happened with this trailer. Definitely something worth seeing in my book. And even more since this is the director of "The Notebook."
My Sister's Keeper will be released to theaters on June 26, 2009. Watch the trailer below.
My Sister's Keeper Synopsis: Sara and Brian live an idyllic life with their young son and daughter. But their family is rocked by sudden, heartbreaking news that forces them to make a difficult and unorthodox choice in order to save their baby girl's life. The parents' desperate decision raises both ethical and moral questions and rips away at the foundation of their relationship. Their actions ultimately set off a court case that threatens to tear the family apart, while revealing surprising truths that challenge everyone's perceptions of love and loyalty and give new meaning to the definition of healing.
Maria Bello, Abigail Breslin & Samuel L. Jackson Cast in RAPE: A LOVE STORY

Maria Bello, Abigail Breslin and Samuel L. Jackson have been cast in the indie film RAPE: A LOVE STORY.
Based on the novella by Joyce Carol Oates, Rape: A Love Story follows a mother (Maria Bello) recovering from a gang rape, who is stalked by the rapists, but protected by a cop (Samuel L. Jackson). The woman's 12 year-old girl, who witnessed the crime will be portrayed by Abigail Breslin.
The screenplay to Rape: A Love Story is adapted by John Mankiewicz, and the movie will be directed by Harold Becker.
I have a feeling I'm going to need a few days to get ready to see this film, it sounds really depressing, but I am really hoping for some great performances.
