Empire has released this really great UK poster for 500 DAYS OF SUMMER starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel, and since I really loved the movie I thought I would share it with you.

500 Days of Summer (Limited)
Definitely one of the best movies to come out so far this year. You don't want to miss it. You can read my review for 500 Days of Summer here.
500 Days of Summer Synopsis: Boy meets girl. Boy falls in love. Girl doesn't. This post modern love story is never what we expect it to be — it's thorny yet exhilarating, funny and sad, a twisted journey of highs and lows that doesn't quite go where we think it will. When Tom, a hapless greeting card copywriter and hopeless romantic, is blindsided after his girlfriend Summer dumps him, he shifts back and forth through various periods of their 500 days "together" to try to figure out where things went wrong. His reflections ultimately lead him to finally rediscover his true passions in life. 500 DAYS OF SUMMER stars Zooey Deschanel (THE HAPPENING, FAILURE TO LAUNCH) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (STOP-LOSS, THE LOOKOUT,) directed by Marc Webb, screenplay by Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber.

Ever since I first saw the trailer for 500 Days of Summer back in January, I have wanted to see it. It looked like just my type of movie and of course the cast only added to my excitement.
I ended up seeing 500 Days of Summer at the 2009 LA Film Festival in June (because there was no way I was missing the chance to see it) and let me tell you it didn't disappoint.
500 Days of Summer tells the story of Tom who gets dumped by Summer, whom he thinks is the love of his life. Tom then tries to understand what went wrong and starts looking back at his relationship with Summer. The movie moves back and forth between pre and post break up scenes as Tom tries to win Summer back.
The opening sequence for the movie is one of the best that I have seen in a while. To this day it still makes me laugh. It's nothing big but a few sentences telling you about the movie, but it definitely puts you in the mood for what's coming. I won't spoil what it says because it would take away all its effect, but it was such a great way to start the movie that I had to mention it.
The movie also warns us that this is not a love story and that's true, but you'll have to go and see it to find out exactly what 500 Days of Summer is all about.

Pretty much everyone stayed after the screening to hear them talk, it was pretty great. Oh and the movie is really amazing, you should definitely go see it when it comes out (I will also have a review soon, so keep an eye for it as well).

500 DAYS OF SUMMER New Trailer
A new trailer for 500 DAYS OF SUMMER was just released. The movie stars Zooey Deschanel, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and is directed by Marc Webb.
I first wrote about 500 Days of Summer earlier this year when it was at the Sundance Film Festival. I shared some pictures and a trailer and ever since I have been really excited for the movie to come out. And now with this new trailer, I have a feeling this is going to be one of my favorite movies this year.

500 DAYS OF SUMMER Pictures & Trailer - Sundance 2009 Non-Competition
As you know, the Sundance Film Festival has started and there are quite a few movies standing out right now that you will want to check out. Namely 500 DAYS OF SUMMER.
I have been hearing so many good things that I had to write a little something about it.
Synopsis: When an unlucky greeting card copywriter is dumped by his girlfriend, the hopeless romantic shifts back and forth through various periods of their 500 days 'together' in hopes of figuring out where things went wrong.

I checked out the trailer (you can watch it below) and I have to say that this absolutely looks like something I would want to see. It has a total indie feel that I love. Plus Having Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt as the main character is a definite plus.
