Micmacs a tire-larigot Poster

Check out the trailer for MICMACS A TIRE-LARIGOT starring Dany Boon, André Dussollier, Nicolas Marié, and directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet.

I just love Jean-Pierre Jeunet's directing style and Micmacs a tire-larigot definitely has a Delicatessen-like feel, which I love. And Dany Boon is playing the main character, this is great!

Thanks to Quiet Earth for finding the teaser.

Micmacs à tire-larigot will be released to theaters in France on October 28, 2009. Watch the trailer below (it's in French and even though they don't say much, I translated what is said if you're curious).

Matt Damon - The Informant

Check out the trailer for THE INFORMANT starring Matt Damon, Scott Bakula, Joel McHale, and directed by Steven Soderbergh.

It looks like Steven Soderbergh has created another great movie. The trailer for The Informant looks really good and I love Matt Damon as the not-so-smart informant. Can't wait to see it.

The Informant will be released to theaters on October 9, 2009. Watch the trailer below.

The Informant Synopsis: What was Mark Whitacre thinking? A rising star at agri-industry giant Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), Whitacre suddenly turns whistleblower. Even as he exposes his company's multi-national price-fixing conspiracy to the FBI, Whitacre envisions himself being hailed as a hero of the common man and handed a promotion. But before all that can happen, the FBI needs evidence, so Whitacre eagerly agrees to wear a wire and carry a hidden tape recorder in his briefcase, imagining himself as a kind of de facto secret agent. Unfortunately for the FBI, their lead witness hasn't been quite so forthcoming about helping himself to the corporate coffers. Whitacre's ever-changing account frustrates the agents and threatens the case against ADM as it becomes almost impossible to decipher what is real and what is the product of Whitacre's rambling imagination. Based on the true story of the highest-ranking corporate whistleblower in U.S. history.

Jason Bateman, Ricky Gervais - The Invention of Lying

Check out the trailer for THE INVENTION OF LYING starring Ricky Gervais, Jennifer Garner, Rob Lowe, Jonah Hill, Jason Bateman, Patrick Stewart, Tina Fey, and directed by Ricky Gervais.

This is such a fun concept. Can you imagine a world where no one would lie?! It's pretty crazy. And of course I love Ricky Gervais, so I'll watch anything he does.

The Invention of Lying will be released to theaters on September 25, 2009. Watch the trailer below.

The Invention of Lying Synopsis: In an alternate reality, lying -- even the concept of a lie -- does not even exist. Everyone -- from politicians to advertisers to the man and woman on the street -- speaks the truth and nothing but the truth with no thought of the consequences. But when a down-on-his-luck loser named Mark suddenly develops the ability to lie, he finds that dishonesty has its rewards. In a world where every word is assumed to be the absolute truth, Mark easily lies his way to fame and fortune. But lies have a way of spreading, and Mark begins to realize that things are getting a little out of control when some of his tallest tales are being taken as, well, gospel. With the entire world now hanging on his every word, there is only one thing Mark has not been able to lie his way into: the heart of the woman he loves.

Spread Poster

Check out the trailer for SPREAD starring Ashton Kutcher, Anne Heche, Sebastian Stan, Margarita Levieva, and directed by David Mackenzie.

I posted a few pictures from Spread a while back, and now we get a look at the trailer. To be honest, the trailer just looks ok to me. It's probably something that I would like to rent, but I don't think I'm going to see it at the movies. For some reason Ashton Kutcher's character doesn't really seem sympathetic.

Spread will be released to theaters on August 14, 2009. Watch the trailer below.

Spread Synopsis: SPREAD is a fresh, funny, and racy look at the trials and tribulations of sleeping your way to a life of privilege in Los Angeles. Comic and karmic, the film is an "immorality tale" about a gorgeous guy who gives women what they want in order to live exactly as he likes.
In SPREAD, Nikki (Ashton Kutcher) isn't a gigolo. He's a sexual grifter, a fun-loving, freeloading hipster who understands his greatest assets are his looks and sexual prowess, which he uses to charm his way into the hearts of the city's richest women and enjoy their lifestyle. Nikki gets a free place to live, fantastic gifts, A-list access, and plenty of sex. The women get to feel young, beautiful… and utterly fulfilled in the bedroom. It's a mutually beneficial set-up.
Nikki's latest conquest is Samantha (Anne Heche), a stunning middle-aged lawyer who gives him more than he's ever had before. But then he meets a gorgeous waitress his own age named Heather (Margarita Levieva). She comes to visit Nikki at Samantha's house while Samantha is out of town, sees what an incredible place it is… and comes to the mistaken conclusion it's his. Unbeknownst to Nikki, Heather lives by playing the same game.
When Samantha comes home, she discovers Nikki's infidelity and he's put out on the street. With nowhere else to turn, Nikki pulls out all the stops to win Heather over and they begin to form their own kind of bond. Sexually charged by a game of one-upsmanship, each shows the other their best grifts, and they unexpectedly begin falling in love – the one thing they can't do in the life they lead. Soon, the truth of their unfolding relationship forces a choice between love and money, and Nikki has to decide whether he can live on his own once and for all in the hopes of finding something real.

How To Make A Million Dollar Easily (THE BOX Movie Trailer)

How to Make a Million Dollar in the easiest way possible?

Well simply push a button. Oh and, one last thing, when you click that button, someone in the world that you do not know dies. This is the premise of the new movie "THE BOX" starring Cameron Diaz, Frank Langella, James Marsden, Gillian Jacobs, Michele Durrett and directed by Richard Kelly (also directed Knowing).

I find this concept amusing as I recently was posed the same question. Would I press a button to get a million dollar if that meant that someone in the world I don't know would die?

Of course, I said no....for a million dollars. I know how this can sound horrible to some people but I am not pushing a button for just a million dollar. If I am going to be a horrible person, let's talk about 100 million and we are in business. A million won't let me do anything of significance. 100 million can allow me to change lives.

The Box will be released to theaters on October 30th, 2009 . Watch the trailer below.

Synopsis: An unhappily married couple receive a small wooden box on their doorstep. At the push of a button, the box brings its bearer instant wealth but also instantly kills someone the bearer doesn't know.

What would you do? Would you press the button for a million? Or even a 100 million?
