We always get lists of the Top films of all time according to critics, and most of the time the movies on the lists make sense from a critic's point of view, but I thought that I would ask a regular moviegoer what his Top 25 all time films were for a change. So I decided to ask my dad, who is a movie lover, but definitely not a critic.

Now I'd like to take credit for a few movies that made it on the list like Shrek, which is pretty much the only animated film my dad likes, The Matrix, which is kind of an anomaly since my dad is not a fan of sci-fi, Chasing Amy (yep my dad is likes Kevin Smith movies), Forrest Gump, and Crash, which as you can see made the top of his list.

However, my dad can take credit for making me discover quite a few movies himself including a few of the ones on this list like The Godfather, Dances with Wolves, The Dinner Game, Scent of a Woman, A Bronx Tale, Havana, The Pianist, The Bridges of Madison County, and Midnight Express.

As you can see my dad has had some influences over my movie watching choices and I trust his opinion when he recommends something. That's why I thought he was the perfect candidate for this. So here are my dad's Top 25 All Time Films, and please remember that this is only the opinion of one person and you don't have to agree. In fact, feel free to share your top all time films in the comments.

1. Crash

Synopsis: Tensions erupt when the tangled lives of a Brentwood housewife, her district attorney husband, a Persian shopkeeper, two cops, a pair of carjackers and a Korean couple converge over a 36-hour period in the diverse metropolis of post-9/11 Los Angeles. Sandra Bullock, Brendan Fraser, Don Cheadle, Matt Dillon, Thandie Newton and Terrence Howard co-star in this Oscar-winning Best Picture from writer-director Paul Haggis.

2. The Godfather

Synopsis: When organized crime family patriarch Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando) barely survives an attempt on his life, his youngest son, Michael (Al Pacino), steps in to take care of the would-be killers, launching a campaign of bloody revenge. Francis Ford Coppola brings Mario Puzo's multigenerational crime saga to life in this Oscar-winning epic that also spawned Best Actor honors for Brando, who refused the prize for political reasons.

3. Dances with Wolves

Synopsis:Wounded Civil War soldier John Dunbar (Kevin Costner) tries to commit suicide -- and becomes a hero instead. As a reward, he's assigned to his dream post, a remote junction on the Western frontier, and soon makes unlikely friends with the local Sioux tribe. This special edition of Costner's Oscar-winning directorial debut features an extended cut of the film, an audio commentary from Costner, a behind-the-scenes featurette and more.

4. Forrest Gump

Synopsis:Winner of six Academy Awards, including Best Picture, director Robert Zemeckis's charming blend of comedy and drama stars Tom Hanks as Forrest Gump, a simpleminded man who finds himself in the middle of nearly every major event of the 1960s and '70s. Along the way, he makes friends, changes lives and searches for a soul mate. Hanks nabbed a Best Actor Oscar for his remarkable portrayal of the unsophisticated yet surprisingly wise Forrest.

5. Life is Beautiful (La Vita E Bella)

Synopsis: In this poignant tragicomedy, a clever Jewish Italian waiter named Guido (Roberto Benigni, who also directs and won an Oscar for his role) is sent to a Nazi concentration camp during World War II, along with his wife (Nicoletta Braschi) and their young son (Giorgio Cantarini). Refusing to give up hope, Guido tries to protect his son's innocence by pretending that their imprisonment is an elaborate game, with the grand prize being a tank.

6. The Dinner Game (Le Diner de Cons)

Synopsis: Writer-director Francis Veber's clever comedy shadows a group of French intellectuals who gather each Wednesday night for a dinner game, in which the challenge is to bring along the most idiotic guest. Pierre (Thierry Lhermitte) thinks he's found a ringer in François (Jacques Villeret), a civil servant whose passion is making architectural models out of matchsticks. But Pierre gets more than he bargained for when François becomes his houseguest.

7. Scent of a Woman

Synopsis: Hoping to earn some extra cash during the Thanksgiving holiday, poor prep-school student Charlie Simms (Chris O'Donnell) agrees to look after blind -- and cantankerous -- Lt. Col. Frank Slade (Al Pacino, in a tour-de-force performance). Though the callow student and jaded colonel are mismatched, their relationship grows as Simms follows Slade around Manhattan on a string of wild escapades, and Slade is unmasked as a sentimental romantic.

8. A Bronx Tale

Synopsis: In this evocative slice-of-life film, a Bronx boy (Lillo Brancato) grows to adulthood worshipping disparate heroes: his hardworking father (Robert De Niro), who drives a city bus, and the neighborhood mob boss (Chazz Palminteri), who becomes a kind of surrogate dad. Joe Pesci co-stars in De Niro's debut as a feature film director, adapted from Palminteri's funny and touching play of the same name.

9. Havana

Synopsis: High-stakes poker player Jack Weil (Robert Redford) is looking to make a buck in pre-revolutionary Havana before Castro takes over. When beautiful Bobby Duran (Lena Olin) asks Weil to help her smuggle contraband, he has no idea she's married to the well-known communist revolutionary Arturo Duran (Raul Julia). When the police take Arturo away, Bobby is immediately drawn to Weil. Although he wants to help her, he also wants his one big score.

10. Shrek, Shrek 2, Shrek the Third

Synopsis: It ain't easy bein' green -- especially if you're a likable (albeit smelly) ogre named Shrek (Mike Myers). On a mission to retrieve a gorgeous princess (Cameron Diaz) from the clutches of a fire-breathing dragon, Shrek teams up with an unlikely compatriot -- a wisecracking donkey (Eddie Murphy). This is the full-screen version of the film and includes a featurette, character interviews and more.

11. The Pianist

Synopsis: Famed Polish concert pianist Wladyslaw Szpilman (Adrien Brody, in an Oscar-winning role) struggles to survive the onslaught of Nazi tyranny during World War II in this Roman Polanski-directed drama based on Szpilman's memoirs. In spite of his well-known musical talents, Szpilman spends several years holed up in Warsaw, barely alive and subsisting on scraps, until grace comes in the form of a second chance -- at music, at freedom and at life.

12. L.A. Confidential

Synopsis: In 1950s Los Angeles, three wildly different cops (Guy Pearce, Russell Crowe and Kevin Spacey) form an uneasy alliance to ferret out deep-seated police corruption. But some people will do anything to land their faces in the pages of trashy Hollywood tabloids such as Hush-Hush magazine. A must-see whodunit, Brian Helgeland's script adaptation won an Oscar, as did Kim Basinger for her supporting role as a Veronica Lake look-alike.

13. The Matrix

Synopsis: In this complex story that aspires to mythology, a computer hacker (Keanu Reeves) searches for the truth behind the mysterious force known as the Matrix. He finds his answer with a group of strangers led by the charismatic Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne). What they encounter in confronting that truth makes for a lightning-paced, eye-popping thrill ride of a movie that cleverly combines sociopolitical commentary with cutting-edge special effects.

14. The Bridges of Madison County

Synopsis: When her family is off at the state fair, vaguely discontented Iowa housewife Francesca Johnson (Meryl Streep) meets National Geographic shutterbug Robert Kincaid (Clint Eastwood), who's in Madison County to shoot Iowa's covered bridges. What begins as a guarded friendship soon erupts into an intense affair that rekindles Francesca's forgotten passions. But she finds her emotions in conflict when the time comes to choose her future.

15. Pretty Woman

Synopsis: When millionaire wheeler-dealer Edward Lewis (Richard Gere) enters a business contract with Hollywood hooker Vivian Ward (an Oscar-nominated Julia Roberts), he loses his heart in the bargain in this charming romantic comedy. After Edward hires Vivian as his date for a week and gives her a Cinderella makeover, she returns the favor by mellowing the hardnosed tycoon's outlook. Can the poor prostitute and the rich capitalist live happily ever after?

16. Fiddler on the Roof

Synopsis: Filmed on location in Eastern Europe, this beloved musical based on Sholem Aleichem's stories was nominated for eight Academy Awards and won three. Director Norman Jewison chronicles the trials of Jewish peasant Tevye the milkman (Israeli actor Topol), humble father of three strong-willed daughters and husband to oft-objecting wife, Golde (Norma Crane), in pre-revolutionary Russia. Violinist Isaac Stern provides the haunting music of the fiddler.

17. Schindler's List

Synopsis: Liam Neeson stars as Oskar Schindler, a greedy German factory owner made rich by exploiting cheap Jewish labor. But as World War II unfolds, he becomes an unlikely humanitarian, spending his entire fortune to help save 1,100 Jews from Auschwitz. Co-starring Ralph Fiennes, Steven Spielberg's holocaust epic won seven Academy Awards (including Best Picture) and is an unforgettable testament to the possibility of human goodness.

18. Midnight Express

Synopsis: The true story of Billy Hayes (Brad Davis) is brought to life by Oliver Stone's Academy Award-winning screenplay recounting the young American's experience in a Turkish prison. When Hayes is caught attempting to smuggle drugs out of Turkey, the courts decide to make an example out of him and sentence him to 20 years in prison. With little hope of ever getting out, Hayes decides to attempt a daring escape. Co-stars Randy Quaid and John Hurt.

19. The Deer Hunter

Synopsis: In this Oscar-winning epic from director Michael Cimino, a group of working-class friends decides to enlist in the Army during the Vietnam War and finds it to be hellish chaos -- not the noble venture they imagined. Before they left, Steven (John Savage) married his pregnant girlfriend -- and Michael (Robert De Niro) and Nick (Christopher Walken) were in love with the same woman (Meryl Streep). But all three are different men upon their return.

20. Chasing Amy

Synopsis: Soon after comic book artist Holden (Ben Affleck) falls in love with Alyssa (Joey Lauren Adams), he realizes things aren't as perfect as he once thought: Alyssa's gay. With no help from his best friend, Banky (Jason Lee), Holden attempts to make the relationship with Alyssa work. Although he knows Alyssa cares deeply about him, her past may conspire to come between them and ruin everything.

21. Lawrence of Arabia

Synopsis: Director David Lean's Oscar-winning epic tells the true-life story of British warrior-poet T.E. Lawrence (Peter O'Toole), who helped unite warring Arab tribes so they could strike back against the Turks in World War I. Lushly filmed and expertly acted, this timeless classic underscores the clash between cultures -- and within one man -- that changed the tide of war. Alec Guinness and Anthony Quinn co-star.

22. Titanic

Synopsis: Winner of 11 Oscars, James Cameron's effects-driven blockbuster puts a human face on a tragedy of epic proportions by wedding the historical tale of the doomed ocean liner with a fictional romance between two of the ship's ill-fated passengers. Society girl Rose Dewitt Bukater (Kate Winslet) and penniless artist Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio) struggle to survive both the sinking ship -- and the wrath of Rose's wealthy fiancé (Billy Zane).

23. E.T. - The Extra-Terrestrial

Synopsis: Steven Spielberg's 1982 smash hit tells the heartwarming story of the special bond 10-year-old Elliot (Henry Thomas) forges with an alien he names E.T. The adventures they share as Elliot tries to hide his new friend and E.T. tries to get back to his planet ("E.T. phone home!") provide plenty of action, laughter and tears. Dee Wallace, Peter Coyote and a young Drew Barrymore co-star.

24. Gilda

Synopsis: Sexy bombshell Rita Hayworth "Puts the Blame on Mame" in this silky, South American thriller that became her biggest hit. Hayworth, Glenn Ford and George Macready comprise the three sides of a steamy love triangle that threatens to destroy Macready's thriving casino and wreck all their lives. Hayworth's sinuous vamp of the aforementioned tune is a screen classic.

25. Ben-Hur

Synopsis: Charlton Heston plays Judah Ben-Hur, a proud Jew who runs afoul of ambitious boyhood friend Messala (Stephen Boyd) in this 1959 epic that boasts an unforgettable chariot race and earned 11 Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Actor (Heston) and Best Director (William Wyler). Condemned to life as a slave, Judah swears vengeance against Messala and escapes, later crossing paths with a gentle prophet named Jesus.

This week on the Movie Mania I didn't have time to watch as many movies as I was hoping, mostly because I was busy watching the last two seasons of La Femme Nikita (which is available on thewb.com), but I did get to watch a few and the good news is I enjoyed all of them. So it's time to share some quick thoughts on the latest films that made my Movie Mania list.

The Legend of Butch & Sundance - This is a prequel to the classic "Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid," which of course is nowhere near as good as the classic, but if you watch it expecting some entertainment I think it delivers. I personally enjoyed it more than expected to.

Synopsis: Two of the fiercest and most famous gunslingers in the Wild West -- Butch Cassidy (David Clayton Rogers) and the Sundance Kid (Ryan Browning) -- decide to join forces for a series of daring but rewarding bank robberies in this action-filled Western. Based on historical documents, this partially fictionalized tale follows the legendary outlaws during their early years, just as they were starting their illustrious careers together.

Hair - I hate to admit that I had never seen Hair until only recently and wow, I really loved it. I think the thing that surprised me the most was how relevant the movie still is today. In addition, it's a great musical, and as a musical fan it was like heaven. Plus how much fun was it to see a young Treat Williams, loved it!

Synopsis: On his way to join the Army during the Vietnam War, quiet and conservative Claude (John Savage) travels from Oklahoma to New York City, where he befriends a group of fun Central Park hippies and falls in love with a beautiful society girl named Sheila (Beverly D'Angelo). Directed by Milos Forman, this Broadway musical turned motion picture features the beautiful choreography of Twyla Tharp and hit songs such as "Aquarius."

The Vicious Kind - Why didn't this movie get more buzz? It's one of the best that I have seen of 2009 and 2010 (so far). The story is great, the cast amazing and in particular Adam Scott, who is beyond brilliant. That man should have gotten more awards and praise for his performance. Needless to say, I highly recommend this movie.

Synopsis: When angry Caleb Sinclaire (Adam Scott) reluctantly agrees to drive his younger brother, Peter, and Peter's girlfriend, Emma Gainsborough (Brittany Snow), home for Thanksgiving, he finds himself attracted to his brother's pretty girl. Before long, his desire morphs into an obsession that could either completely unhinge the family -- or be the catalyst he needs to confront feelings he has long repressed. J.K. Simmons and Alex Frost co-star.

The Messenger - I really enjoyed The Messenger, it has a nice story, but most of all it has great performances from Woody Harreslon and Ben Foster. It's definitely worth watching.

Synopsis: An injured U.S. soldier, Sgt. Will Montgomery (Ben Foster), is paired up with by-the-book Capt. Tony Stone (Oscar nominee Woody Harrelson) to notify families of killed soldiers -- a job that bonds them as they suss out different views on serving America. At odds at first, the two find common ground while facing life's variety of battles. Oren Moverman directs this poignant military tale that co-stars Samantha Morton and Jena Malone.

With so many movies available for rental and so many movies available for instant watching on Netflix, I thought I would share a few movies that I watched recently. These are just movies that sparked my interest for different reasons, so here we go.

Easy Virtue - The movie had some good moments and I particularly enjoyed Jessica Biel's performance. And of course, Kristin Scott Thomas is amazing as always. It's a nice movie to check out if you want to relax and have fun.

Synopsis: American widow Larita (Jessica Biel) meets John (Ben Barnes), a wealthy young Englishman, in France and impulsively marries him. But when they visit his family at their country estate, Larita receives a chilly reception from her virulent new mother-in-law (Kristin Scott Thomas). As she waits impatiently to move on with life in London, Larita forms a subtle bond with John's father (Colin Firth) while John falls further under his mother's spell.

Love N' Dancing - I'm a big fan of any movie that has any sort of singing, dancing, etc., so of course Love N' Dancing sparked my attention, and turns out I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected. It's definitely a fun film worth checking out.

Synopsis: Jessica (Amy Smart) forgot just how much she loved dancing until she meets Jake (Tom Malloy), a deaf swing-dance teacher who inspires her to get back on the floor. Trouble is, Jake's already got a partner (Nicola Royston), and so does Jessica -- her fiancé, Kent (Billy Zane). As Jake and Jessica get closer, their steps and their hearts seem more in synch. But with their eyes on a coveted dancing prize, can they keep their focus?

How to Be - This is such a quirky comedy, but it was a little boring to me. Not sure it's something I would recommend.

Synopsis: This dry British comedy stars Robert Pattinson as Art, a twentysomething musician who, after being unceremoniously dumped by his girlfriend, moves back in with his parents in order to face the challenges of his quarter-life crisis. Soon, Art enlists the services of a self-help guru to follow him wherever he goes, inspiring a series of hilarious situations -- along with some heartfelt discoveries about life and relationships.

Outsourced - This movie was quite a surprise because I randomly decided to watch it and really enjoyed it. If you enjoy romantic comedies, I think you might enjoy this one, it's really sweet.

Synopsis: When his department is outsourced to India, customer call center manager Todd Anderson (Josh Hamilton) heads to Mumbai to train his successor (Asif Basra), and amusing culture clashes ensue as Anderson tries to explain American business practices to the befuddled new employees. In the process, he learns important lessons about globalization -- and life. Ayesha Dharker and Matt Smith also star in director John Jeffcoat's cross-cultural comedy.

Good Dick - This is another movie I decided to watch randomly because Jason Ritter was in it. It is quite an unusual story, but I will admit that I kind of enjoyed it, a lot. If you're not turned off by the synopsis, I would say give it a shot.

Synopsis: Habitually isolated in her quiet apartment, a vulnerable girl (Marianna Palka) with a penchant for soft-core porn ventures out to a local video store, where she meets a store clerk (Jason Ritter) who vows to break down her emotional walls and win her affections. But as he pursues her in bizarre fashion, it's clear that their budding relationship will be anything but conventional. Lead actress and screenwriter Palka makes her directorial debut.

The Puffy Chair - After seeing The Freebie at Sundance, I decide to check out The Puffy Chair. Even though I enjoyed the improv feel of the movie, I have to admit it was a little boring for me, the pace was too slow, but there were some funny scenes.

Synopsis: When Josh (Mark Duplass, whose brother Jay directs) finds the perfect birthday present for his father, he decides to deliver it in person. But with his high-maintenance girlfriend Emily (Kathryn Aselton) and granola brother Rhett (Rhett Wilkins) along for the ride, Josh's simple road trip turns into a much bigger journey than anyone anticipated. This indie romantic dramedy was an audience favorite at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival.

Is Anybody There? - This was such a sweet story and it had such a great cast between Michael Caine, Anne-Marie Duff (who I recently became a fan of after seeing Nowhere Boy), and the adorable Bill Milner. Definitely recommended.

Synopsis: Growing up in a seaside nursing home run by his parents takes its toll on 10-year-old Edward (Bill Milner), but things begin to look up for the lonely boy when a retired magician (Michael Caine) with a zest for life moves in. Set in the 1980s, this poignant tale follows the developing friendship between Clarence -- a spirited old troublemaker hiding from his past -- and death-obsessed Edward, a youngster unable to live life in the moment.

Paris 36 (Faubourg 36) - Now that was such a beautiful movie. Gérard Jugnot once again brought tears to my eyes. Another movie I recommend you check out.

Synopsis: When a neighborhood music hall closes down, a trio of unemployed friends (Gérard Jugnot, Clovis Cornillac and Kad Merad) vow to bring the business back from the dead by staging a musical they hope will be a hit. If their gamble pays off, they'll have the money to buy the theater for themselves -- and the power to control their own destinies. Christophe Barratier directs this Berlin Film Festival selection set in 1930s Paris.

Walt Disney Pictures has just released new amazing movie photos for ALICE IN WONDERLAND featuring some really cool stills of Underland, Alice (Mia Wasikowska), THE MAD HATTER (Johnny Depp), CHESSUR, THE CHESHIRE CAT (voice of Stephen Fry) and THE MARCH HARE (voice of Paul Whitehouse). My favorite has to be the March Hare, he looks like so wacky. The Cheshire Cat is up there too.

In addition to all this, there are also some additional descriptions attached to each photo that give us a better idea of the world of Alice in Wonderland. Thanks to Yahoo Movies for posting both.

Underland

UNDERLAND, says screenwriter Linda Woolverton, is a part of the earth. "But it lies somewhere far beneath our world. The only way to get there is to fall down a rabbit hole." It is the same fantastical land that Alice visited as a child, but she misheard the word "Underland" and thought they said "Wonderland." Alice, now age 19, heads back down the rabbit hole and though she has no memory of her previous adventures in Underland, she is reunited with its inhabitants, including a swashbuckling Dormouse, an off-his-rocker Mad Hatter, a grinning Cheshire Cat, a caterpillar called Absolem, a beautiful White Queen and her spiteful older sister the Red Queen. "Time has passed," says Woolverton. "The Red Queen rules the whole land. It's under her thumb. And the people of Underland need Alice." Underland has come upon hard times since the malevolent Red Queen took over the throne. It is, however, a truly wonderful land, which might explain why the girl who mistook it for Wonderland has been called upon to help return it to its glory. But, says Woolverton, "Underland has always been Underland since the Beginning, no matter who sits on the throne. It will remain Underland until the End."

ALICE

ALICE (Mia Wasikowska) is a 19-year-old woman contemplating her future. An independent soul, she feels trapped in the narrow-minded views of women in aristocratic Victorian London. Alice Kingsleigh is uncertain how to balance her dreams with other people's expectations. Following the death of her beloved father, she attends a garden party with her mother and sister, although, unbeknownst to her, it's been planned as her engagement party. Just as the arrogant and dull Hamish Ascot proposes to her, Alice spots a White Rabbit wearing a waistcoat and pocket watch scurrying across the grounds. She rushes off after the furry fellow, tumbling down a rabbit hole and into Underland, a place she first visited as a child (and called Wonderland) - though she has no memory of it or its inhabitants. Alice nevertheless reunites with her childhood friends, including Absolem the caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, and of course, the Mad Hatter - and seeks her true destiny. "In the beginning, Alice is very awkward and uncomfortable in her skin," Wasikowska says. "So her experience in Underland is about reconnecting with herself and finding she has the strength to be more self-assured in figuring out what she wants."

THE MAD HATTER

THE MAD HATTER (Johnny Depp) doesn't just wear his heart on his sleeve - his ever-changing moods are quite literally reflected in his face and his attire. He's been anxiously awaiting Alice's return and is, arguably, her one true friend, believing in her when nobody else does. He is fearless, going to great lengths to protect her at his own risk. Once the proud hat maker for the White Queen, the Hatter has been affected by mercury poisoning, an unfortunate side effect of the hat-making process, and isn't altogether well.

CHESSUR, THE CHESHIRE CAT

CHESSUR, THE CHESHIRE CAT (voice of Stephen Fry) is a dapper tabby with the ability to appear and disappear. He is all calm, casual sensuality with a seductive grin that masks his cowardice. It's the cat's disembodied head that first appears to Alice in Tulgey Wood after she's been attacked by the vicious Bandersnatch. He offers to purify the gashes on her arm by licking them. Alice declines, although she allows him to lead her to the Hatter's Tea Party where the Hatter blames him for deserting them on the day the Red Queen seized control of Underland. Using his skills and the Hatter's coveted top hat, Chessur later finds a way to redeem himself.

THE MARCH HARE

THE MARCH HARE (voice of Paul Whitehouse) hosts the Mad Hatter's Tea Parties at his Hare House. Paranoid, anxious and slightly insane, he constantly wrings his paws and ears and has a thing for tossing teapots and other items. Pikin Players Synopsis: PIKIN PLAYERS is the story of two or three African boys who dream of traveling to Europe to make it as professional football players. We meet the boys in their homes in Cameroon, where they are waiting for invitations for trials in Europe. As they prepare for the journey out of Africa, we see what their life is like in Cameroon; their family, their school, their friends and the role football plays in their day-to-day life.
Through the eyes and experiences of these boys, PIKIN PLAYERS explores the wider themes that envelop the narrative of the film. We investigate the illegal academies and the unlicensed agents who promise these boys success outside Africa. We see the pressure the boys are put under by their parents and witness the process of the trafficking of these young football players to Europe.
The film joins the boys on their personal and physical journey from their homes in Cameroon to the streets of Europe, where they try to secure a position at a professional club. We see the decisions they have to make if things don't go as planned and the difficulties encountered when their tourist visa runs out.

I love watching movies that feel were made for me but that very few people seem to like.

They can sometimes be commercial flops or just movies that were critically panned. I love these kinds of movies so much that I sometimes get a lot of flack for it from my friends because I watched them so much. Yet I continue to love them without shame.

I think that the primary reason why I love these movies is because they have a je-ne-sais-quoi that really brings it home for me. Most of the time, it happens to be awesome fight scenes or really entertaining comedy.

Here is a short list of some of those movie gems that I will never stop loving no matter what:

1. Grosse Pointe Blank (Rotten Tomatoes Score: 77%)
I can't stop watching Grosse Pointe Blank. Although I have the DVD of the movie, I Tivo it every chance I get so I can watch it on tap. Check out one of my favorite scenes featuring my boy John Cusack being a badass below.

2. Blade 2 (Rotten Tomatoes Score: 58%)
I love the Blade Trilogy featuring Wesley "Always Bet on Black" Snipes. I don't care if it's cheezy and corny. Blade 2 is by far my favorite one of the bunch. I especially like the last fight scene, which you can check out below.

3. The Way of The Gun (Rotten Tomatoes Score: 48%)
If you have never watched this movie, the first 5 minutes will sell you. If you ever get into a fight, you might want to get some pointers here from Ryan Phillippe.

4. Equilibrium (Rotten Tomatoes Score: 36%)
I never quite understood why Equilibrium barely hit the theaters before it was quickly pulled out. Fascinating movie with a Christian Bale in great form. Check out an awesome scene from the movie below.

5. Ultraviolet (Rotten Tomatoes Score: 8%)
Terrible Dialogue, ridiculous storylines but awesome fight scenes. In one word, brilliant. Check out one of the excellent fight scenes featuring the beautiful Milla Jovovich below.

Having read all five Scott Pilgrim comics, I'm really curious to find out how the movie will come across, because it's not an easy comic book to adapt for the screen. But if done well, it's going to be loads of fun.

Scott Pilgrim vs The World Synopsis: Meet charming and jobless Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera). A bass guitarist for garage band Sex Bob-omb, the 22-year-old has just met the girl of his dreams...literally. The only catch to winning Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead)? Her seven evil exes are coming to kill him. Genre-smashing filmmaker Edgar Wright (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) tells the amazing story of one romantic slacker's quest to power up with love in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
Scott Pilgrim has never had a problem getting a girlfriend. It's getting rid of them that proves difficult. From the girl who kicked his heart's ass--and now is back in town--to the teenage distraction he's trying to shake when Ramona rollerblades into his world, love hasn't been easy. He soon discovers, however, his new crush has the most unusual baggage of all: a nefarious league of exes controls her love life and will do whatever it takes to eliminate him as a suitor.
As Scott gets closer to Ramona, he must face an increasingly vicious rogues' gallery from her past--from infamous skateboarders to vegan rock stars and fearsomely identical twins. And if he hopes to win his true love, he must vanquish them all before it really is game over.

I have a confession to make: I'm a movie crier. Yep, that's right, an emotional movie scene will make me cry like a little girl whether it's in the comfort of my home or in the middle of everyone at the movies (which sometimes make me which that theater lights didn't turn back on so fast at the end of movies so I'd have time to get myself together again).

Even worst, I'm an easy crier. But while it doesn't take much to get me to tear up, there are some movies that will make me ball, and I love them so much (I wonder if that's something that should be worrisome).

Since not all films are equal in the cry factor for me, I thought I would put together a list of 5 movies that are at the top of my list of favorite crying movies.

E.T.
I have seen E.T. too many times to count, but it just gets me every time. Only recently I caught it on TV (and of course had to watch) and by the end I was in tears.

Fun anecdote about the movie is that the very first time I watched it when I was little, I was actually scared of E.T. and my parents had to tell me that E.T. was nice for me to continue watching, but by the end I was crying because E.T. was going home. So I guess this movie has been making me cry for about 20 years, that definitely deserves a mention.

Good Will Hunting
This is one of my all time favorite movies. The story is great, the acting is amazing and of course I shed tears every time I watch it. There are a few scenes in Good Will Hunting that always get me, but the number one scene has to be the "It's not your fault" scene. You can watch the brilliant scene in question below (and in case you're wondering, yes I had tears in my eyes while watching that scene again).

The Notebook
Ladies if any of you have seen this movie, then I don't even need to explain why this one made the list. Pretty much any Nicholas Sparks novel made into a movie is guaranteed to make you cry. And then on top of it you add Ryan Gosling, come on! Even the trailer makes me teary (which you can watch below).

Moulin Rouge
Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman in a dramatic musical directed by Baz Luhrmann, it's a recipe for tears. There are a lot of moments that will make you cry in the film, but I think the last scene is sort of the heightened moment, as you can see in the video below (SPOILER WARNING: the video below features the end of the movie, so if you haven't seen it, I wouldn't recommend you watch it).

In America
In America is one of the most beautiful movies I have seen. It's like someone sat down to figure out ways to make me cry. I actually had to take a moment at the end to calm down. Djimon Hounsou gives an incredible performance and he'll just touch your heart. And man that last scene is so brilliant... oh and yeah this would be a time when those freaking movie lights came back on way too soon, it was not a pretty sight.

So there you have it, 5 movies that make me cry like a little girl every time I watch them. But that's just me, now I want to hear from you. Are there movies that always get to you? 2009 was a big year for Twilight and its fans.

To the chagrin of geeky movie bloggers everywhere, Twilight: New Moon turned out to be one of the biggest movies of 2009 in terms of Box Office and fan engagement. The movie has also revealed itself to be a force for change that will affect the entertainment industry as we know it (whether the movie industry likes it or not). Now Hollywood executives are scrambling to try and unlock the mysteries behind this success to try and replicate it. (Good Luck with that)

This one is a tie, folks. TWILIGHT NEW MOON was the major hit movie of 2009 and TWILIGHT ECLIPSE is likely going to be the major hit movie of 2010. Both movies had photos that were hugely popular in 2009.

I recently got a chance to speak with ED ASNER about the 1977 Christmas TV classic, The Gathering, which was released exclusively in the Warner Archive in time for the Holiday season.

Ed Asner shared some of his memories about shooting The Gathering, talked about his plans for Christmas, and his future project. So enjoy the interview below and make sure to grab yourself a copy of The Gathering.

Congratulations on 'The Gathering' being released again.

Ed Asner: For years, I have a friend, a former lady newspaper reporter in Ohio who's constantly leading a campaign for ABC to put it on, to put it on. Quite often she succeeded because there was no access to the VHS at that point. I don't know when the VHS came out but now that the DVD is coming out I guess there will be a number of purchases.

How does it feel to be involved in a movie that's such a Christmas classic with such a demand that Warner Brothers is re-releasing it?

Ed Asner: Well, I guess if they're willing to open the purse strings there must be gold in them. I'm proud that it's happening and I'm glad that people will have easy access to it now. But it's really been repeated a vast number of times.

At the time that you were making the film did you think it was going to be such a success?

Ed Asner: At the time that I accepted this I had two scripts that dealt with the homecoming theme. One was with this rich family written by James Poe, he was a descendant of Edgar Allen. And the other script dealt with a poor family and not that I chose riches over poverty but I liked his script better and therefore chose it. I was quite startled and very impressed at the cast that was assembled. All of them stellar performers and all delivered beautifully. I felt that there was something in the works that would be very impressive when it finally showed. My most difficult moment was the scene by the waterfall which is Tim Conway's hometown. Chagrin Falls. Supposedly they were the only democrats in the town, too. I had difficulty in that scene talking to the doctor. It was like the first scene that I had to do and I had difficulty with it but after we got through that it was very smooth sailing for me.

What are some of the best memories that you have from filming the movie?

Ed Asner: Well, my family was there. My kids were all in the chorus singing carols outside of the house. So I love the fact that I got them into the piece. Just working with all those good actors was [great]. Maureen Stapleton. Bruce Davison. Rebecca Balding. Veronica – who later starred in the cop show in L.A. – Hamel. Larry Pressman. John Randolph. Jimmy Karen. Maureen Stapleton of course was a phenomenon. Greg Harrison and Gail Strickland.

Was there a scene in 'The Gathering' that was your favorite to do?

Ed Asner: The scene with Larry Pressman, the two scenes where my impending death is exposed. The one was Larry Pressman which ends in the fireworks outside of the house and when Maureen senses what's going to happen and angrily slams me around.

The story is so relevant today. Do you think they'll do a remake of it and if they did would you like to see that?

Ed Asner: Why would they? They made a 'Gathering' part two after my death. They had Maureen coming together with Efrem Zimbalist and some of the kids again, but I don't know how successful it was. That was the only effort that I know of at perpetuating with it. But that's like saying recreate 'The Mary Tyler Moore' show. Why should you?
I get questions all the time, like 'What about "Up 2"?' I don't envision a sequel easily to 'Up' and if they do I hope that it can maintain the level that 'Up' had. There was supposed to be an 'Elf 2' as well but Will Ferrell got very successful, starring in dozens of movies so that queered up. But I'm glad because I think that 'Elf 1' stands alone just as I think that 'Up 1' stands alone. I think 'The Gathering' stands alone.

What's your favorite Christmas movie?

Ed Asner: I liked 'Elf' an awful lot.

Is there one that you like to watch every year during Christmas time?

Ed Asner: No. I don't do that. I don't succumb to that sentimental crap. I used to look at 'It's A Wonderful Life' but I got tired of that.

What are some of your Christmas plans if you're not watching movies?

Ed Asner: Oh, we'll have a Christmas Eve dinner, maybe watch some movies. I don't know. I like peace and quiet. I'm going to be going back on the road for a lot of weeks so peace and quiet at home is something that's very nice, without obligations.

You've had such a long career. What have been some of your favorite projects to work on?

Ed Asner: Oh, always the cumulative total of Lou Grant. Seven years with Mary [Tyler Moore] and five years where I was the so called star. 'Rich Man, Poor Man' I loved. 'Elf' I loved. I loved 'Up'. I loved the black comedy that I did called 'Heads'. 'Family Man' I did with Anne Jackson and Meredith Baxter.

How do you go about choosing projects? Do you look at the director or the story, how do you decide?

Ed Asner: It's the story. First I look at what I have to do and then I look at the total story. Then I see how much they're going to pay me.

That's the most important. [laughs]

Ed Asner: That's not the most important. I'm doing a low budget movie in North Carolina starting January 3rd and I'm not going to get rich. I did 'Gigantic' last year in New York with John Goodman and Jane Alexander and Zooey Deschanel and Paul Dano. I didn't get rich on that but I loved the movie. So it's a combination of all these things. If I have the time and I've had a good paying job then I can afford to do a lesser paying job.

What's the name of the low budget film you have coming up?

Ed Asner: 'Elephant Sighs' and it's a buddy picture. It's about five men who come together, who are together. They're losers and they all depend on each other.

What's your part in it?
Ed Asner: I'm like the older one. I'm kind of like the leader but not with tight controls. I'll be doing it in January.

You've also done a lot of voice over work. What's the main difference from voice to acting in front of the camera and do you prefer one over the other?

Ed Asner: Voice over. I've had a lot of fun with 'Boondocks'. I've had a lot of fun with 'Freakazoids'. I've enjoyed them all as long as you have something substantial to do. I don't like going 'burp' and 'slop' and 'fade'. As long as it tends to involved acting I love them and I've enjoyed them all. I've had a great time. My first cartoon was 'Captain Planet' and I played a character named Hoggish Greedly in it and I had a ball doing that. I've done five Carl Hiaasen books. I'm up for a Grammy on the last one. I think they used somebody else finally on the one after that but doing books is a wonderful challenge and it's a great deal of fun for me.

Are you hoping to do anymore books in the future?

Ed Asner: They don't call me anymore. Trying to figure out this business is like the Rosetta Stone. You need a Rosetta Stone. One of my most impressive moments was when I first did books, I had done about five books, the first books I ever did, 'Playboy' put out a big Christmas issue with a huge catalogue section for Christmas gifts and they had a huge VHS audio section, suggestions for Christmas gifts and they had reviews of all the audio books, like twenty pages of it. All five of the ones that I did were reviewed by different reviewers half a column long in the magazine and they all got raves. I was amazed. They all got raves. I did them all alone. One I did with Julie Harris. That got a rave, too. I looked at it and I said, 'Oh, man, when people start reading these I'm going to have to use a baseball bat to drive them off with all the offers that will come in.' I didn't get another offer to do a book for at least year.
After a lot of success that I had with the audio, all of a sudden the market just dropped away. I think that they tended to stay in the east and they had the authors doing a lot of it but I think they got to the point where I think they thought, 'Well, nobody really cares if a name is doing it.' They just want the good voices with no names. But I had done good work.

Sundance is approaching fast and Hesher is one of the many films to look forward to there. It's definitely on my list mostly because of the killer cast.

If you look down, you will then see some of our latest articles highlighted on our central module. Now the cool thing about it is that you can scroll through it using either the arrows on the right and left of it, or the scrollbar at the bottom.

Right under that, you will see the latest pictures featured in all our articles. You can also scroll through them using the arrows around it, or go to our gallery page and pick the picture for the article that interests you.

And all the way at the bottom you will find links to the latest articles from our other properties.

Sundance Institute has announced today the lineup of films in competition for the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. They will also announce five out-of-competition films on December 3.

The 2010 Sundance Film Festival runs January 21-31 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah.

For the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, 112 feature-length films were selected representing 38 countries by 43 first-time filmmakers, including 24 in competition. These films were selected from 3,724 feature-length film submissions composed of 1,920 U.S. and 1,804 international feature-length films. 79 films at the Festival will be world premieres.

U.S. DOCUMENTARY COMPETITION
This year's 16 films were selected from 862 submissions. Each film is a world premiere.

Bhutto (Directors: Jessica Hernandez and Johnny O'Hara; Screenwriter: Johnny O'Hara)—A riveting journey through the life and work of recently assassinated Benazir Bhutto, former Pakistani prime minister and a polarizing figure in the Muslim world. World Premiere

It's almost coming to an end and that makes me really sad, but really excited at the same time. I have been a huge fan of Harry Potter, the books and the movies.
