Wondering what movies are coming out to theaters this Friday, September 25, 2009? Here is a list with my intentions to watch at the movies, rent, watch on TV, or skip all together.

DEFINITELY WATCH AT THE MOVIES

Coco Before Chanel (Limited)

This is a really beautiful movie and I really love Audrey Tautou. You can read my review here.

Coco Before Chanel Synopsis: Audrey Tautou (THE DAVINCI CODE, AMELIE) plays the legendary "Coco" Chanel in an enthralling exploration of her early life before she rose to worldwide fame as the most celebrated fashion designer of the 20th Century. We meet the young Gabrielle Chanel, illegitimate daughter of a traveling salesman who learns to sew in a Catholic orphanage before following her singing ambitions lead her to a cabaret club. It is here where Chanel earns the nickname Coco and also where she catches the eye of several high society gentlemen who would ignite her passion and become instrumental in the development of her remarkable career.

Surrogates

Not sure if this is going to be good, but it's Bruce Willis, so I definitely want to see it.

Surrogates Synopsis: FBI agents (Bruce Willis and Radha Mitchell) investigate the mysterious murder of a college student linked to the man who helped create a high-tech surrogate phenomenon that allows people to purchase unflawed robotic versions of themselves –- fit, good looking remotely controlled machines that ultimately assume their life roles -– enabling people to experience life vicariously from the comfort and safety of their own homes. The murder spawns a quest for answers: In a world of masks, who’s real and who can you trust?

DEFINITELY RENT

The Boys Are Back (Limited)

I don't think I'll have time to see this in theaters, but since it's Clive Owen it's a definite rental.

Capitalism: A Love Story

I think I'll just end up renting this or watching it on TV.

Capitalism: A Love Story Synopsis: Capitalism: A Love Story which will explore the root causes of the global economic meltdown and take a comical look at the corporate and political shenanigans that culminated in what Moore has described as "the biggest robbery in the history of this country" -- the massive transfer of U.S. taxpayer money to private financial institutions.

Fame

I'm not really interested in seeing this in theaters, but I might give it a shot as a rental.

Fame Synopsis: Inspired by the 1980 film, 'Fame' follows an exceptional group of dancers, singers, actors, and artists over four years at the New York City High School of Performing Arts. They have practiced and prepared since childhood to prove they're the best of their generation, and in this incredibly competitive atmosphere their passion will be put to the test. Complicating a demanding rehearsal schedule are homework, midterms, and all the social drama of high school, with each student's dream of recognition from their peers and a chance at stardom on the line. As they each strive for their moment in the spotlight, they'll discover who among them has the innate talent and necessary discipline to succeed.

HELL WILL FREEZE FIRST

I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell (Limited)

This is just not for me. Didn't really like the trailer.

I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell Synopsis: My name is Tucker Max. And, I am an asshole. It's impossible to keep me away from what I want. My creed is to indulge every whim, ignore the consequences of my actions, mock idiots and posers, sleep with more women than is safe or reasonable, and just generally act like a raging dickhead. I can't be accountable for all that comes out of my mouth especially when I get excessively drunk at inappropriate times, disregarding social norms. I do contribute to humanity in one very important way though -- I share my adventures with the world -- and offer the best advice I know to friends faced with tough questions. "What would Tucker do? And you go out and do it," that's what I say. So that's me in a nutshell.

Pandorum

This actually looks pretty good, but the whole horror aspect is just not for me.

Pandorum Synopsis: From the creators of the Resident Evil film franchise comes Pandorum, a terrifying thriller in which two crew members wake up on an abandoned spacecraft with no idea who they are, how long they've been asleep, or what their mission is. The two soon discover they're actually not alone -- and the reality of their situation is more horrifying than they could have imagined.

Paranormal Activity (Limited)

People seem to enjoy Paranormal Activity, but it's just not for me.

Paranormal Activity Synopsis: A young couple suspects that their house is haunted by a malevolent entity. They set up video surveillance to capture evidence of what happens at night as they sleep.
