Mira Nair has done so many wonderful movies including Mansoon Wedding, Salaam Bombay! and Vanity Fair, that it should come as no surprise that I am really looking forward to her latest one, Amelia.
And now thanks to People.com (via /Film), we get our first look at the movie, which follows the relationship between famed aviatrix Amelia Earhart (Hilary Swank) and her husband George Putnam (Richard Gere).
Amelia will be released to theaters on October 23, 2009. You can also watch the trailer here.

I feel they should have had Gere's pic on the posters too. He too is a star with enormous star potential and will probably draw more audience than Swank possibly can.
