THE LAST AIRBENDER Dev Patel as Zuko Pictures
The first pictures of Dev Patel as Zuko in M. Night Shyamalan's THE LAST AIRBENDER have been finally released (thanks to SlashFilm for posting them).
As a fan of the original cartoon, it's hard for me to tell just by looking at the pictures if I'm going to like Dev Patel's version of Zuko. I like Dev Patel as an actor, but I also have my own idea of how Zuko should be. Plus is it me or is his scar missing? All I see on the bottom picture is a little hint of it, but I was expecting it to be a lot more prominent.
I am definitely looking forward to the first trailer though. So far The Last Airbender is scheduled to be released on July 2, 2010.

Okay I think that Dev is going to be a great Zuko. I mean he is an award winning actor and I think he did an awesome job in Slum-dog. So I am going to give him a chance. I will watch the trailer and then tell you if I am going to like the casting or not.
What? Dev Patel is extremely hot! But I don't think he should have been casted as Zuko. He doesn't really fit the part as a mean guy.
Yeah, definitely not getting an evil vibe from these pictures. Grimacing or looking a bit angry doesn't make you look evil- gotta see more emotion! Zuko is such an angry little guy! And where's the scar, man? It lends to the emotions he displays
the scar should be more prominant, in fact it should almost look cheesy because its so prominent. if you watch the series then you know how symbolic and important that scar is. he is a good actor but I highly doubt he'l be able to pull off the physical look of Zuko.

also, his hair needs to be worked with.

I think they should have gotten someone else to play Zuko. This guy is not even remotely cute at all!!!!XPPP
