The Road is a movie for which I have been waiting to see a trailer for a really long time. And it's finally here. So did it live up to the hype? I think it did, I'm really excited to see it. But before I think I'm going to read the book.

The Road will be released to theaters on October 16, 2009. Watch the trailer below.

The Road Synopsis: A father and his son walk alone through burned America. Nothing moves in the ravaged landscape save the ash on the wind. It is cold enough to crack stones, and, when the snow falls it is gray. The sky is dark. Their destination is the coast, although they don't know what, if anything, awaits them there. They have nothing: just a pistol to defend themselves against the lawless bands that stalk the road, the clothes they are wearing, a cart of scavenged food--and each other.

Everyone should read this incredible novel. It appears as if they have taken a few liberties for the movie, that will be fine as it can only add to it's amazing story.
