Spike Jonze's WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE Poster

Where the Wild Things Are

Check out the poster for Spike Jonze's WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE. Simple but so effective.

Where the Wild Things Are is based on Maurice Sendak's classic children's story about a young boy named Max who, after being sent to bed without supper, imagines a mysterious, wild forest in his bedroom. There he encounters mythical creatures, the wild things.

Definitely an original story that I think will fit right in with Spike Jonze's creative mind.

Thanks to Spike Jonze Fan Blog (via /Film) for the poster found in Nick Magazine.

Where the Wild Things Are will be released to theaters on October 16, 2009.

Some of the people lending their voices include Forest Whitaker, Paul Dano, Catherine Keener, James Gandolfini, Catherine O'Hara, and Lauren Ambrose.
