What he's in: TWILIGHT coming out November 21st 2008.

His Character: Carlisle Cullen, a compassionate "300-plus years [old]" vampire who looks to be in his mid-20s. He serves as the town's physician and is the father figure of the Cullen family.

Why we like him: What is not to like? Peter Facinelli can morph from the high school jock in "Can't Hardly Wait" to some religious goodie-two-shoes in "The Big Kahuna." And now he has the delicate task to bring such a great character like Carlisle Cullen to life, and I am really confident in his ability to wow us one more time.

Biography:

Facinelli grew up in Ozone Park, Queens, New York, in a family with a rich Italian-American heritage. He studied acting at the Atlantic Theater Company Acting School in New York City; his teachers there included William H. Macy, Felicity Huffman, Giancarlo Esposito, and Camryn Manheim.

Facinelli met his future wife, Jennie Garth, on the set of An Unfinished Affair, a 1996 made-for-TV movie. They married on January 20, 2001. He and Garth have three daughters together.

Facinelli's last project was Hollow Man 2, which co-starred Christian Slater. It was released direct-to-video in May 2006. He was also in films such as Riding in Cars with Boys, The Scorpion King, and Can't Hardly Wait. In 2004 and 2005, he was a recurring guest on the hit HBO show Six Feet Under. He also appears on the FX original series Damages. Facinelli will also be playing Carlisle Cullen in the upcoming movie Twilight.
